The Hansgrohe RainBrain Offers High Shower IQ

Heads up, shower-time Pavarottis, it's not a good idea to bring in your iPhone or other media player into the humidity of the bathroom. But we've never been a fan of those clunky hang-on-the-showerhead radio designs either. Here's a much more refined (and expensive), high tech solution for someone who wants their bathroom as high tech and with as many entertainment options as most people's living rooms: the Hansgrohe's RainBrain.

The Hansgrohe RainBrain is a waterproof computer system outfitted for the shower, operating via touchscreen panel, giving users the option to do choose from a myriad of wash time preferences. For example, let's say you've got a household of 4 who all like their shower flow at different pressures/flow. The RainBrain can be programmed for each, while also adjusting for temperature preferences. So a "hot as Hades" water person like myself doesn't have to burn the buns of my better half when she uses the shower afterward (and conversely, I won't have to endure Costanza shrinkage caused by the barely warm waters she prefers). An electronic anti-scald system protects everyone from dangerous high temperatures by accident too.

And back to the entertainment options. The RainBrain connects to your iPod, iPhone, Android device…as long as it has Bluetooth connectivity, you can stream audio and control the device with a menu system on the RainBrain touchscreen. The controls seems well though out, with the water temperature a simple physical dial, while a push button can turn the whole system on/off and the the display screen shows which showerheads are on, at what temperature and how long you've been hogging up…enjoying the shower.
