We're not sure if the movie gods will shoot us down for making a Sound of Music/Lord of the Rings reference in the same breath, but we're too excited over this diy dollhouse to care. Maddie Chambers has spent countless hours perfecting the interior and exterior alike of this detailed Hobbit home, click through and check it out!
There are some things in life, you just have to do and for Maddie Chambers it was making a Hobbit home replica. It's ginormous and has a removable top, showcasing all of her hard work below. No corner has gone untouched as there are small papers on the writing desk and a stocked pantry made by hand from Fimo clay.
We think it's a great project that provides a little extra inspiration for those looking to make a dollhouse for their little ones. Just remember, it doesn't have to be super traditional by any stretch of the imagination, just make it something you love!

So wonderful. My inner child never went in, I want to play with this.
My mouth is still hanging open with awe. The attention to detail is absolutely stunning. I can't wait to see the Prancing Pony!
It's so good I'm scared to show my husband for fear he'll want one too!
You are amazing!

... My favorite is the pantry with all the wee things!!!
Such a wonderful job...!!
Wow! Incredible!
Amazing job Maddie:) You had more patience just building that then I will even have in a lifetime:)
That’s damn impressive. Only problem is that kids who would play with it are too young for the books or movies, really. Kids would play with it, but not appreciate it as a hobbit hole or as Bag End. Although it’s obviously not intended for kids anyway.
Ah, This is so great. I'm with everyone else. I wish I had the ability to create something like this let alone the patience.
can I move in ????? :)
Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! I LOVE this!
Very well done Maddie!
When I first read the Hobbit as a little kid, I would have ADORED this...I feel the same now!
Maddie, great job! your project is beautiful and very inspirational!
