I have been meaning to post the LA Modernism show that I attended a few weeks ago.
The show was pretty amazing considering all the unbelievable mid century, art deco and vintage furniture that could be found under one roof. There were booths full of dealers from all over the world, including a company from Stockholm called Jacksons, a company called 20 C Modern from Dallas, a store in NY called Greg Nanamura, some abstract art from Robert Hanson featured by No Ho Modern, and Hedge from San Francisco. Some local stores included The Eames Office, Dragonette, Fat Chance, Svenska Mobler and Szalon.
Each vendor was extremely knowledgeable about each of the pieces they were featuring, and it was great to see how passionate they were about the furniture.
(I tried to get a picture with Will Farrell, who was the host of the evening but he was too busy getting a tour of the show!)
If you are an art deco mid century vintage design fan, I highly suggest attending next year.
