IKEA together with 32 Australian designers and artists have created The IKEA Home Project– where each designer and artists creates their own cover for the popular KLIPPAN sofa. This not only marks the 30th birthday of the KLIPPAN sofa but each of these one off designs will be sold on an online auction site with 100% of the proceeds going to the Victorian Bushfire Relief fund. With huge names like Catherine Martin, Akira Isogawa and Del Kathryn Barton check out our favourites below the jump…

After the Victorian Bushfires in February this year IKEA donated $1millon dollars to help re-establish communities that were destroyed in the fire. For The IKEA Home Projects they asked the designers and artists involved to consider what "home" means to them and for their couch covers to reflect that. All the couches are unique and we found it really interesting to see how each artist reflected their idea of "home". Some are beautiful, others witty and some we'll just call interesting. The auction is taking place at Greys Online with bidding closing on Tuesday 4th August. Be sure to visit the site to see all 32 couch designs.
