Amy's TIPS

Tub and fixtures: vintagetub.com.
Very helpful, good selection. They talked my plumber through his questions. They have new tubs. If you want vintage, talk to the people at Olde Goode Things (multiple locations, yes I know there is contraversy about OGT), but don't expect to find one that doesn't need refinishing/resurfacing. Or drive around Pennsylvania. Apparently the state is crawling with clawfoot tubs.

Tin ceiling: the American Tin Ceiling Co
If you have access to a car or live in Brooklyn, you can go to Standard Tinsmith which was on Chrystie St. until recently. Home Depot also carries tin ceilings in theory, but they don't know anything and stock even less. ATC was very helpful in talking through installation and shipped everything promptly.

The fridge: amroyal.com.
I LOVE AM Royal. When the first stove I ordered was a disaster and my contractor had already thrown out the box, AM Royal arranged to pick up and auction the stove on ebay for me, even if I didn't buy the replacement stove from them. With the box, they would have taken it back, no questions asked. Extremely reasonable delivery fees, even with stairs.
