Usually it's decorators taking inspiration from works of art; artist Jonas Wood has flipped that relationship upside down with his series of domestic still life paintings.
As people who love glimpses into other people's homes, Apartment Therapy readers will certainly appreciate Jonas Wood's work. They are brightly realized and skewed snapshots of friends' rooms, his therapist's office and the artist's own home, each with their own unique decorative elements, including birdcages and gallery walls. The rooms are at once abstract, yet filled with personal detail.
You can read and see more in this past Sunday's New York Times Style Magazine, or through the David Kordansky Gallery in Los Angeles, where Woods has his current exhibition.

These are great! The bathroom is my favorite. Love the slightly wonky angles.
