Is the iPhone's built in alarm clock so unusable that you have to spend $40 to "improve" it? I think not...
Well, you have to admit, if you can wake up to the morning with the iphone clock docked beside your night stand, you'll less likely have broken clocks shattered on the floor.

The app doesn't have a built in alarm clock function, they recommend using the native clock app before opening rise&shine.
I am using this app, but rather than buy the other charger I've just been using the charger that comes w/the iPhone. I lean it against my lamp, and so far haven't had any problems with it being stable.
The one problem I do have is that even in the dimmest mode, it's still much brighter than a typical alarm clock.
