It came as no surprise to me that the films of Wes Anderson have inspired countless pieces of art — but Jurassic Park? Really? This is what I love about the world: someone's always thinking of something I would never think of..
Brandon Bird and Julia Vickerman recently curated The JP Show (Just People), "an exhibit dedicated to what people love and remember most about the Jurassic Park film series: the human characters". Namely: Goldblum. The first work you see here is not a photo-realistic painting. It is a photo. Jeff Goldblum sat to have his portrait taken by artist Robyn Von Swank, making this, in Brandon Bird's words, "the only Goldblum-endorsed humans-only Jurassic Park art show". Finally! Moving on to more Goldblum...
- IAN MALCOLM: FROM CHAOS is an oil painting by John Larriva- the original is sold, but limited-edition signed prints are available for $50!
- NAGELSATTLER by Tyler Jacobs is so Nagel-fabulous I can't stand it. A print might be just what your bathroom or beauty salon needs.
- Can I be honest? I can't remember what part of the movie PARKKRAP (LEX) by John Olsen is referencing. It's been, like, 18 years. I love the colors, though! This painting has been sold.
- There are lots more great pieces here, but I couldn't resist finishing up with one more Goldblum: HIS JURASSIC PAST, again by Robyn Von Swank. Contact her if you'd like a print!

WHOA! That second one is so freaking cool!!
The fourth one might be referencing the electrified fence that kept the T-rex caged...?
Thanks for giving me a good excuse to go watch it again, it's been a while. Aren't they making another one soon?
Remember how the amusingly cynical Goldblum character was always on the lookout for his next "future ex-Mrs"? Goldblum's work in "The Fly" and many other films is fun, too. Those portrait prints look like a bargain.
I love the first photo!
The fourth one is referencing the Unix system Lex navigates to turn the security system back on. Or JP's interpretation of a Unix system.
LOL. I LOVE the second photo. I had a weird 10-year-old crush on this weirdo. This about sums up my feelings.
Remember Goldblum in Independence Day? Big Chill? Fun characters.
The 4th one is Lex saying "this is a UNIX system, I know this!"
my husband would love this! Jurassic Park is his favorite movie :)
I forgot to mention my favorite Goldblum-description, courtesy of Karen on Will & Grace: "Kinda like a sexy whooping crane"!
