Zane from Ohio has a simple philosophy: Hate the exposed cord. This drove him to hack his existing IKEA Jerker desk, with jumbles of hanging loose wires, into a jumbo workstation that's both tidier and provides more space for work.
After checking out his before and after shots, we are all in agreement that the steps Zack took to clearing out the wires and increasing desk space has paid off in full.
Starting with the older "Jerker" config, he took the desk surface panel and cut it to fit under the desk in order to hide cords and power strips while providing an area to mount his center surround speaker.
He also took it upon himself to add a top shallow shelf to provide a resting space for his 42" TV/PC monitor. To top it all off, rear mounted LED strip lights are mounted on the backside of the vertical and horizontal rails of the Jerker system. Not only does it add a sweet epicness to the already awesome workstation, but it's good for your eyes, too!
Congrats on the good work, Zack!
