We have several young friends in our lives and we love inspiring them with all things tech. This project is right up their alley as it is age appropriate (perfect for the 9- 12 set) and combines two things they love, robots and art (and making a little bit of a mess). What's not to love about a project that is easy, inexpensive, kid friendly, and fun?
Wanting a special way to celebrate his daughter's birthday, Instructables user Masynmachien, decided to throw an art making robot workshop at her school... and from the images we can tell it was a big hit.
To make this project you will need: a dishwasher brush, a motor (follow the instructions for the Scrub bot to make your own), battery, tie wraps, and a 2-pole connecting block.
One of the best things about this project is that it is something that kids can make on their own with close supervision. The project is fun and the end result is quite possibly the best birthday party favor ever.
Check out the project on Instructables for the complete instructions.
