We really love kitchens that have unique elements. Elements that you aren't expecting to see, but when you do, you just love them. Sometimes it's hard to find such things, but, it's certainly inspirational when you do.

Max and Linda are the masterminds behind Wallter and recently shared their home with Design*Sponge. Some people may not find a brown refrigerator a unique element, but we do. The chocolate brown fridge is from Mueller and evidently, people questioned the couples color choice. They said they haven't grown tired of it and we don't think we would either.

Another interesting element in the kitchen are their countertops. They're stained maple plywood and were originally installed just for temporary use. They've lasted ten years and the couple fell in love with them and have no desire to change them.

The shelves above the stove are new. They were hand built by Max and are used to hold the dishes they use on a daily basis. Linda also finds them useful for displaying her collection of vintage enamel. We really like the contrast of color in the kitchen. The dark floors, counter tops and fridge work well with the white cabinets, yellow walls and stainless steel accessories. It's certainly a unique color palette and we appreciate that.

What do you think of Max and Linda's Kitchen?
