Furniture that pulls double duty is always appreciated, no matter how small your space is — especially when it's as good looking as this. Meet the Koo, a 2-in-1 bassinet and rocker that allows you to pick up your sleepless child, flip down the seat and rock them gently back to the land of sweet dreams!
The Koo by Lunar is a modern, clean-lined piece of furniture that truly had tired parents in mind upon its creation. Small nurseries fill up quickly with furniture and essentials, so having a piece that does the work of two is nothing short of fabulous. Functionality aside, we love that this is a piece which can carry on into any room in your home, even when your kids are grown and gone.
Although The Koo has yet to go into mass production, it's been quite well received over the last few weeks, so we hope to see it available soon! You can sign up to be the first to receive info about it's release over at Lunar's website.

But is it comfortable? It doesn't look it.
This chair looks both uncomfortable and useless- there is nowhere to rest your arms while holding or feeding a baby. try holding a baby like that for more than 5 minutes.

I agree it looks like it could potentially be quite uncomfortable! My concern though is about whom else would perhaps sit in this chair/craddle besides my husband and myself. I would have to keep it hidden away in our room. This may be quite cheeky, but there's some folks in my family that I certainly don't want sitting where I put my baby to sleep! LOL
Does it also work as a co-sleeper? The asymetrical height of the sides could work well for placing the bassinet next to your bed. One side is low enough to place the swaddled infant while partially reclined, with the other wall being tall enough to prevent the older sibling from poking the infant. Of course you would have to disable the rocking ability or the infant will end up on the floor by the toddler's feet.
I think it's ingenious! When I rock or nurse my baby, I don't necessarily need armrests to be comfortable. Space it the most important thing for me and it looks like this piece has plenty of it! You could always put down a protective layer for whomever may sit on it.
I really like this concept. although I'm not too sure if I would convert the cradle to a rocker in the middle of the night. For me, the rocker in this concept may extend the lifespan of the cradle, which becomes obsolete after a few months.
i really like it. its not exactly my decor style but it look roomy! my son would also love it.
whats up with the back ground...is that a light casting those tree shadows????
Mommy looks so sad...
