Rachael and her husband have spent the last 5 years transforming their bedroom into a great place to spend the night. Their use of subtle color truly comes alive when coupled with the natural light that floods their space. It's the perfect place to begin and end your day and they documented every step along the way for us... Rachael and her husband live in the East Mountains of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Their room when they started was stark white, plagued by sad amount of storage and carpet that just had to go. Our favorite part of their renovation and makeover process is that it wasn't overnight.
It can be easy to watch makeover after makeover go by on the internet and feel like you should have the funds up front for everything you want at the snap of your fingers. But in reality, that's just not how home improvement works (at least for most people). They took their time, chose perfect paint colors, installed wood floors, toned down a sky light and made the space warm and personal.
Make sure to check out Rachael's Flickr sets with more before and after pictures than you can shake a stick at. She's done a bang up job of documenting their entire process as it was happening and it's really worth a look!
