When we check into a hotel and come upon a little towel sculpture — a swan or accordion flower, typically — at the foot of the bed, we must admit we're charmed. Until we learned about Alison Jenkins' book, however, it hadn't occurred to us to recreate the experience for guests and live-ins.

Though not in the book, we also like these towel swans from a hotel in Egypt, using striped towels. The thick, black and white stripes help tip the scales closer to chic than cheesy.
The book is $15, here.

sooooo not chic!
Kinda like a boo-boo bunny?
Is this required reading for cruiseline stewards?
I prefer my towels look like towels. I used to work at a Japanese restaurant where we were required to learn how to create tinfoil animals to wrap people's leftover food in. Both leave me a little put off.
Ah! My eyes!
Perhaps the book can solve the mystery of the towel "animal" I found on my last cruise?
Y'all have no sense of humor.
I knew a bartender who would fold a towel into a... well, let's just say I'd be surprised if it made it into *this* book...

That's not a towel animal...
...that's a towel animal part.
;-)
Mace Elaine, I'm still laughing and drying my tears. Thanks.
