The Louvre announced that it is no longer offering free admission on Sundays from April through September, which is Paris's high tourist season. The museum says that tour companies take advantage, organizing large numbers of group tours on Sundays, which results in overcrowding that has a negative impact on visitors and employees. There is currently an internet petition to protest the cancellation.
