The MDB family includes sibling brands Babyletto, Nurseryworks, DaVinci, Franklin & Ben and they are now the U.S. distributor for Aussie company Ubabub. I'm always assured a range of styles in their booth from classic/traditional to ultra modern. One thing you can always count on is how well styled the MDB booth is with careful attention paid to props and backdrops that create a story around the furniture.
Some of the highlights this year were the new District crib which converts to a desk, the darling Cumulus stool (seen throughout the booth in custom fabrics), the new Loom changer (to match the Loom crib), the new and elegant Ivy crib with tapered legs and memorably tall posts, and the Harlow crib with one clear, acrylic panel.
I loved seeing an old favorite like the Sleepytime rocker in a gorgeous custom fabric (I almost didn't recognize it) as well as custom fabric on the Madison swivel glider and the Cumulus stools.
Ubabub, which debuted at the 2011 show with their eye-catching cribs, is now being distributed in the U.S. by MDB giving easier North American customers access to these style setting cribs.
