The Park Slope brownstone that Lyndsay Caleo and Fitzhugh Karol call home is one of their work projects — they rehab and flip property with Lyndsay's brother — they they kept for themselves. The white and wood 1,250 square foot apartment is at the cutting edge of cool combining salvaged architectural elements with contemporary accents and DIY creations.
The limited color palette really works here — especially with the all-white artwork and curated displays (be certain to check out the bathroom pic on NYMag.com!).

The art work in the first picture is a really poor rip-off of Louise Nevelson.

*swoon*
can't quite put my finger on it - perhaps a little less country?
And Jose A.'s comment is a really poor rip-off of many other whiny artwork comments on AT. Not be too snide, but assemblage art isn't unique to Nevelson. And even if it were, Karol's piece (which is in his own house, after all) seems neither "Reall poor" nor a "rip-off".
I really like this home. There are some other great pics over at Design Sponge from a post done..i think it was two months ago that show a lot more of the space. What I really love is that the entire space is a DIY.
So inspiring that I had to checked out the magazine photos. Modern with just enough touches of warmth. I especially love the dinning room table and wouldn't think to put those chair with it, but it looks great.
The shelving in this place is amazing...but overall a bit too country? Maybe?
