The New Old: Hervé Pierre's Neo-Versailles

Always a treat! New York Magazine's seasonal Home Design edition dropped earlier this week and as always it's packed with New Yorkers' unique homes — including the over-the-top apartment of Hervé Pierre, the creative director of Carolina Herrera. Think eighteenth-century with an updated twist — 92 yards of twisted fabric from Beckenstein in a Hastens-like navy blue gingham!

Some of the over-the-top is down-right DIY — the elaborate 18th century style frame is made out of cardboard by Hervé himself!
