The Fort Greene, Brooklyn apartment of newlyweds Skye Parrott and Alec Friedman is home and work — just underneath their first floor apartment, the brownstone's garden level space is home to Dossier a glossy fashion and literary magazine and a store by the same name.
The New York Times shows us the home filled with the couple's impressive collection of artwork (Nan Goldin, Keith Haring, Walker Evans) — they both have photography backgrounds — and the store, which is also run by business partners Katherine Krause and Molly McIver.
For more on this creative young couple and their unique space see Home and Headquarters and the slideshow.

"It’s for people like us. Some get it. Some don’t.”
Gee, I was planning on checking this store out until I read that pompous statement.
Wow! Last time I was in Fort Greene, every other building was a burned out shell with squatters in it. Gentrification has definitely arrived.

That is one bad-ass fire pit.
Katy: you provoke. There's a ton of politics in both pictures you've painted, and it sounds like you're being passive aggressive leaving them here on AT. Maybe on your own blog instead?
