Man. I'm always skeptical whenever I see those infomercials (especially the Oxyclean guy who feels that it's necessary to shout everything. And I have to say that when my mum tested it out on some grimy towels, it didn't do diddly). Yesterday, some very thoughtful marketing person sent a free sample of the self-cleaning Lint Wizard to everyone on my block, with proclamations of its ingenuity and amazing ability to suck up dust bunnies. As a person who has "Lint Rollers" as a staple on the shopping list, I was actually quite thrilled...until I tested it on the bedspread, a few shirts, my dog's blanket, the sofa, and the car. I'll put it this way: it's decent if you own, say, a cat or dog who doesn't shed a whole lot, or if you're OCD and terribly meticulous with ensuring your home and person is a dust-free zone at all times. But if you are a hardcore lint-rolling customer, stick to the 3M tape rollers. I know they're wasteful with all the tape and whatnot, so maybe someone has a more eco-friendly option?
