The Odd, The Rare & The Canadian

Christie Antique Show 2011

Forget the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), with the gorgeous weather this past weekend was perfect for being outdoors shopping for antiques. Did you make it to the Christie Antique Show on Saturday? We did and found lots of odd, old items and Canadiana.

Canadian items included a Montreal Canadiens hockey lamp, a dartboard from the National Dartboard Federation of Canada, curling and hockey magazines from the 1950s and old signs and products from all over Ontario. We loved the wooden loons and duck decoys, gramophones, spacey looking television sets and an old printer's table. What were your finds at the Christie Antique Show? Are you planning to visit any other antique shows in Ontario this fall?
