Canadian items included a Montreal Canadiens hockey lamp, a dartboard from the National Dartboard Federation of Canada, curling and hockey magazines from the 1950s and old signs and products from all over Ontario. We loved the wooden loons and duck decoys, gramophones, spacey looking television sets and an old printer's table. What were your finds at the Christie Antique Show? Are you planning to visit any other antique shows in Ontario this fall?

Nomade Express Slee...
No handmade crokinole boards, eh?
finnlay hehe.
Thanks for this update, and thanks for the Toronto/Ontario info. I didn't even know about this antique show but have made note not to miss the next one!
I missed it this time, but was at the last one in May and came home with some incredible finds! http://www.notmytypewriter.com/2011/05/antiquing-at-christie-conservation-area.html
The flowered gramophone and the creepy cradle are my favourites. x
I was there and got some great buys. I saw that cradle/bassinet in the photo above - it was amazing. The weather was perfect and it wasn't even overly crowded. Had a great time!
If anyone ever figures out where that curling guide came from or where it's being sold, please post it, would love to own that thing.
It was my first time attending annd I loved it. I came home with a lovely pair of framed hummingbird prints.
Ha..2nd picture on the bottom row. That yellow basket in the bottom corner. I bought it. And that booth with the retro tv's? I got a giant pull-down map for my son's room.
I just loved the wooden products from Canadian. Most especially their wood furniture's. We've bought last year a table and 3 chairs then we've decided to trade it with long wooden chair for our garden via buysellusedstuff.com. My Dad is planning to collect a sport items like dart board and baseball.
This was my first time. The weather could not have been more perfect, warm and sunny but breezy so not hot.
I saw lots of nice items (mostly rather overpriced, IMHO) but I missed the unique cradle/bassinet. I bought some wooden typography letters for $36 but I got them for $30.
There were lots of great things this year! I'm obsessed with all the old signs. I also bought old letterpress blocks.
My pictures from this year and other seasons are here http://kjandco83.blogspot.com/search/label/Christie%20Antique%20Show
KJ and CO,
Thanks for posting the pics on your blog. I recognized most items. The funny thing is - I think it's pic #10 (from top) - the bunch of ladies at the picnic table - I was hanging behind the one on the very left (while she shopped for some candlestick) because I was fascinated by her top and I wanted to ask her where she got it. :-))
Didn't make it to Christie but I'll be at the Aberfoyle Antique Fair on Sept 24th!
