We love Rainn Wilson. His Dwight on The Office is amazing. Ah-May-Zing! While his character works in one of the most blah working environments at Dunder-Mifflin, Rainn has quite the nice home office set-up thanks to the DIY Network's Man Cave. The show, hosted by former NFL player Tony Siragusa, recently built Rainn his own freestanding space that acts as both a working space and chillax room. Ah to be a celebrity who gets free stuff...
Rainn recently launched his own blog, SoulPancake, which is actually super interesting -- lots of life's big questions discussed in posts like, Is Creativity Learned or Inherent? Rainn didn't have a place in his house to dedicate as a home office, so Siragusa and his team built him his own home office using reclaimed lumber for the siding of the building, as well as lovely barn-style beams to reinforce the ceiling. The flooring is recycled wood from beams in a Warner Bros. studio.
The large industrial-style lighting is stunning, as is the wooden credenza that holds all his A/V equipment. The Man Cave team installed a flat screen above a gas powered fireplace, but we wonder if that flat screen is up too high. We're getting a crick in our neck just looking at it.

Pretty slick. I've been trying to convince the wife to let me build an MD100 shed in the backyard for my office/man cave. So far the answer is NO! But she did agree to a 2 story garage/guest apartment that I can use as an office.
Sounds like a good deal to me.
Much better than any of the other themey man caves I have seen on that show.
does anyone know the source of the lights?
thanks much!
Does anyone know where those gig posters are from? They look kind of "Heads of State" but I'm not certain.
Not bad, but I question the ladder. Is it really just for that tiny top shelf? It uses up too much room and is in the way visually, in my opinion.
