We had a hard time deciding what we loved most about this Toorak home. Was it the huge windows? The luxurious finishes and furniture? The fridge that’s bigger than our entire kitchen? It was all of the above and more. Melbourne interior designer David Hicks creates contemporary yet timeless spaces that are well thought out, see more of this amazing home after the jump...
While so many single elements of this home jump out at us, it’s the neutral colour palette that ties it all together. Lots of warm whites and beiges allow the owners personality to flow through the soft blues, pinks and gold details. See more of David Hicks beautiful work at his website here.

Those mirrors and the blue velvet sofa are seriously HOT
Beautiful. Not too hot on the cornice box in the Living room, but dont hate it either. Perfect mix in of MCM/modern furniture. It doesnt feel like a DWR catalog. Very nice.
What a beautiful dining and living area..I like the art, wonder who the artist is? That sofa is seriously gorgeous as is the entire color palette and pieces.
David Hicks work is very nice.
Love the impact of the traditional style of the large LR mirror against the super white, modern furnishings. Gorgeous and takes any potential chill away from the room!
I can't believe Mr. Hicks isn't using a middle initial to distinguish himself from his very distinguished predecessor. Who needs that kind of confusion in their professional life???
I'm dying over this home. I can't stand it. Someone help me. THIS is what I've been trying to accomplish in my home (only on the cheap.)
Very good point Chris. What a terribly unfortunate name for someone who's obviously very gifted.
This looks like a million bucks. It probably *is* a million bucks, mind you, but at least it looks it!
