This post is by a new reporter, Tim Federle, who is experiencing the joys of ownership for the first time. Only in New York can I brag about the great deal I scored on a quarter of a million dollar apartment that's the size of my parent's living room in Pittsburgh.
Last September, I bought apartment #4D at 49 West 96th Street from the Batavia family, and five months later their name still appears on the lobby buzzer; I'm irked.
After four calls to management and a few mentions to the Super, I'm beginning to give up on ever having my own little name plate...Is this really something to bring to the Co-op Board? Am I overreacting? TF
