The Paraty House — not to be confused with Party House — was designed by Marcio Kogan Architects and is comprised of two concrete boxes that sit atop one another. The home is nestled in the mountainside of an island in Paraty, Brazil and residents have to arrive by boat.
The lower level features a crystal-lined reflecting pool and also houses the living room and kitchen. The upper level contains the bedrooms. A retractable panel of eucalyptus sticks keep the sun from glaring in the rooms, as seen in the 5th photo.
The interior of the home is swanked out with 20-century design along with artwork from many well-known artists.

Gorgeous!!! Does it have a great view too??? I'm green with envy.
I'm at a loss for words - so stunning and tasteful...
First, we have Marcio Kogan---one of the best architects in Brazil...his solutions are always elegant and modern). Then we add the unbelievable weather and the views, and of course penty of money, and we end up with a FANTASTIC building, in which to be sad or bored must be really hard.
Bravo Marcio!
Lovely! Not really crazy about some of the furniture choices but the building is flawless.
Stunning is the perfect word! For the building and the site.
Oh yes please!
sexy!
I want to have drink by that pool. Brazilians make such good music and buildings.
