Efficiently organized and reflecting Cross' allergy to cords and clutter, there's still a plethora of computing options strewn across his desk for him to call upon when needed.

H. Sterling Cross hails from Nampa, Idaho, with his vintage 1920's Central Desk Chicago lawyer's desk carefully organized to be free of clutter: a 640GB WD Elements HD hides underneath a Rubbermade laptop stand, a 2.1 audio speaker setup is tucked from view at his feet, a membership card converted into an iPhone stand props up his mobile, and a Samsung 32" LCD TV hidden in the corner of his office controlled with his iPhone and Air Mouse. Since he's an entrepreneur, he needs his peace of mind when working from home. He uses both a PC laptop and a Mac, which gives him flexibility, and everything is in arm's length for maximum efficiency.

Although we're onboard for the transition to the efficiency of LED lighting, it can't beat the warm glow provided by two halogen lamps on his desk (nor likely the heat produced). In some instances, it's preferable to use these compared to LEDs and CFLs, especially if you spend a lot of time working from your desk. All in all, it's a great setup, thanks to the decorative elements he's chosen partnered with his organization planning.
