String system in February, but we love the little pocket shelf most of all. Designed by Nisse Strinning in the 1950s, the String Pocket was built specifically for paperbacks and mounts to the wall, making it a clever, expandable small-space solution... Each system comes with three shelves and two sets of brackets, available in four colors: white, black, white/walnut, and light red. You can also get it with plexi side brackets. We love the look of the light red shelves - something about the proportions, depth of the shelves, and color seems so right.
After Aaron blogged String, we went looking for retailers. The most convenient one we found so far is the Scandinavian Design Center, which sells the String Pocket for $106.55 plus shipping to the US. If anyone knows of a retailer in the US, let us know in the comments below. • To visit String's website, click here. • To see the system online at Scandinavian Design Center, click here.
