Lulu is a five-year old librarian. We love the feature on Lulu's library in this month's Wondertime Magazine. Lulu's library, set in a closet by the way, reminds us so much of what it is to be a child- to be always learning and pretending. It also reminds us of the power and importance of those special hidden places children make their own. Check out the complete slideshow online for some truly doable and inspirational ideas.

We love that Lulu has her own little librarian's desk in front of her closet complete with a library kit with stamps and cards. She takes this job seriously! The personal library kit is available here . We also like the magnetic strip near her desk- great for changing up artwork or papers and available here.

Inside the nook, colorful floor cushions are the perfect spot for a good read. Spice racks were used to create graduated steps for smaller, chunkier books. More book racks, a clear plastic shoe holder for odds and ends, a bench, and tamper proof lamp complete the nook. There's even a boom box where Lulu listens to homemade books on tape done by her grandmother.

I love the reading nook! Now I want to create one for my children. Perhaps it will help fuel their passion for reading and peace.
I want to create one for myself!
