Gamers, we understand your pain. We know the how hard it is when you're trying to explain how many buttons are in the original Atari Jaguar controller circa 1993, but no one really seems to care or acknowledge your vast pool of knowledge of everything gaming. Well, apparently Flickr designer Pixel Fantasy feels your pain too, and decided to throw together a mock up of the Typefaces Periodic Table we saw a while back, catering to game collectors worldwide, or perhaps just those lookin' for a little history lesson in Gaming 101.
From the Colecovision to the Nintendo64, they're pretty much all there. The table layout diagrams many classic joystick and paddle designs, even if they were only in production for a short period of time. Included in the details are the manufacturer, system name, date of production, and even CPU speeds.
Pixel Fantasy claims it's still a work in progress (most likely to keep the serious gamer hoards at bay in case he missed something - it's a serious offense in the gaming world to miss those nitty gritty details, ya know..). Best viewed in full resolution to enjoy the mix of gaming and science at its finest.
