Martik M. sent us this amusing example of space saving decor for your furry faced canine friend: the Pet Murphy Bed. A miniaturized version of the classic fold away bed, the Pet Murphy Bed is made of solid rubber wood (a more environmentally friendly substitute for rare teak or rosewood), and is available in three colors, Black, Mahogany and Natural.
Your miniature bow wow will be living large while resting upon a cozy 22” x 28” x 4” thick covered foam mattress (with removable cover). And when closed, the bed transforms into a relatively benign decor element that will blend in with most traditional spaces (we can only hope a more modernist version will one day be offered). Available for $249.95.

Love it... ingenius innovation!
Now how about for that Great Dane?
Sorry, but this seems like one of those totally useless products. A lot of dogs, my Riley and Sadie included, spend most of the day in their beds. They're not like people; they actually have the luxury of napping at will. With their beds inaccessible, they'll just go find a place on the rug or furniture to lay down. So, if your purpose in having a dog bed is to give your pets a comfy place to sleep that's not your white couch, then you can't deny them access to it unless you're willing to give up the joys of clean, fur-free furniture.
Seriously -- is there anything that hasn't been made into a doggie version? Surely doggie bidets are soon to follow.
