You know how it is. You are on the go somewhere in town and just wish that you'd have your own table and chair. Only, most of us just can't bring along ours with us. Or you need extra tables and chairs in your office or the kid's room for a short while, and you can't seem to find things that can be easily stowed away. That's why I really like these two items. One of them is a flat-folding chair the other one is a collapsible table that's made out of cardboard.

The Flat Chair is designed by Sara Paculdo, whose background in industrial design and physics makes her a good candidate to come up with all sorts of great ideas. This chair folds completely flat and is made out of some kind of plastic material. I was pretty amazed when I saw that it folded up like that. It's almost like a piece of origami, but with lots of curves. The chair looks comfortable enough and you could most probably spend a day working on it.

When I mentioned a cardboard collapsible table, you probably thought that it would be a flimsy affair, that wouldn't last long. This cardboard table measures 5 feet wide, and it's strong enough to draw or cut on. It folds almost completely flat. It's flat enough to be portable and is entirely biodegradable since it's made out of cardboard. It's clean, robust, and provides a solution to occasional working spaces, such as when you are on the move. This is pretty practical. Sruli Recht made this design. It also comes with three collapsible drawers, a storage box, and a laminated white surface. All parts are replaceable. [via core77 and PicoCool]
