I regularly check out the projects on The Purl Bee, conveniently forgetting that I neither knit nor crochet nor sew, content to just bask in the glow of their amazing work. Or come Halloween, the glow-in-the-dark...

  • Knit Candy Corns! If I was the world's fastest knitter, I would make a hundred of these and host a candy corn fight. Or put them in a bucket above the door so they'd drop on trick-or-treaters. They're just so cute!
  • I have a soft spot for these Simple + Spooky Cocktail Napkins because they seem like something my friend Crystal would whip out for her awesome annual Halloween dinner party.
  • The Halloween Witch Doll reminds me of the rag dolls my mom & I used to make (we didn't knit), and I find her pigtails and rope belt totally charming.
  • I have been looking for an excuse to use glow-in-the-dark embroidery floss ever since I learned it exists, and the Glow In The Dark Spider Web Treat Bag puts it to excellent use. Maybe I'll embroider tiny spider webs on my white canvas bag, so they only show up at night...
  • And we've come full circle with candy corn: the Candy Corn Trick Or Treat Bags are darling, and would have been perfect the year my friend Annie dressed up as a candy corn. Of course, she was in her mid-twenties at the time, so she might have kept a tiny bottle of hooch in there along with the candy...
