There’s a 19” television, a radio, an alarm clock, bookshelves, a full size bed, a drink cabinet and a tea kettle. Additional options are also available, and include: solar roof panels, a satellite dish, a gaming console, central heating, an external luggage rack, and bespoke paint. No more camping out overnight on the hard sidewalk to secure the best concert tickets or Apple technology. With the QTvan mobility scooter caravan, you can kill time in comfort, and style. And while style is not a word that I’d normally associate with a mobility scooter, the wheeled wonders do seem to be a popular mode of transportation in Britain. (So much so, that in a recent survey of French citizens, the mobility scooter was listed as being iconically British, along with a cloth cap and a cup of tea!)
The QTvan was designed by the Environmental Transportation Association (ETA), and is the world’s smallest, most environmentally-friendly caravan. Powered with a 240v hookup or a battery, the tiny transport has earned itself a 100% carbon neutral rating (providing its electricity is bought from a sustainable source). And while I might rather hook mine up to a Vespa (hmm... there goes that carbon neutral rating!), there’s no denying the appeal of having such civilized amenities at your fingertips.
Besides, how else can you watch televised wedding footage, toast the happy couple, and wait for the Royals to wing your way, all from the comfort of your own bed??
