Last week's LA Times House and Garden
section featured the stunning house of Carmen and Rick Rogers. The home, located near Olympic Boulevard was modeled after architect Barton Myers personal home that Carmen saw in a magazine. They contacted Myers who was intrigued by the challenge and ended up adapting his original steep hillside Montecito inspiration house to fit into a flat corner lot single-family neighborhood.
The most amazing feature of the home is that there are a series of floor to ceiling windows and roll-up doors. When the doors roll up, the house completely opens up. The lines between indoor/outdoor are totally erased- a trait that we as So Cal residents are lucky to be able to enjoy year round. Read the fascinating article and see more pics here.
