We always love looking at interior design in hotels because there are so many elements common to travelers' quarters and residences, but oftentimes designers are able to take big chances when not working within the permanent personal space of a single client.
The hotel has undergone a three-year renovation and reopened its doors with the help of designer Philippe Starck, who honored the storied past of the site by reigning in his ultra-modern sensibilities and designing rooms in the image of famous former guests like Ray Charles and Josephine Baker. To make the new space of its own era, Starck also interspersed the vintage glamour with heavy doses of modern art.
Le Royal Monceau is located at 37 Avenue Hoche in Paris, France.
