Photographer Todd Selby takes the photo home tour a bit deeper. On his Web site, The Selby, we enter the homes and studios of artists, designers and other creatives -- but more so than just their homes, Selby shows us a glimpse into their lives. The photos are personal and wonderful. Recently, The Selby featured the home of Christina, Swain and Lowe Hutson...
Christina and Swain Hutson are designers and owners of the fashion lineObedient Sons and Daughters. Their home, like their work is exciting and fresh -- but with a great familiar comfort to it.

Their daughter, Lowe's, room is full of magic and charm...

what a great place. i love homes that are lived-in. especially when it is particularly evident that they have a child. clean design is great in theory, but in practice give me something cozy and warm any day.
I love the tutu collection.
This is the most fabulous, eclectic, creative family home I've ever seen. I love the clutter and how it is so unusually put together. Its fabulous!
anyone know where they got that awesome wooden play kitchen? i like the clean lines--something different from the angels and elves one...
They sell them in Manhattan at Enchanted which is on Lex and 81st. They sell them online at magic cabin. It's a Waldorf toy. Enchanted also has those baby grands, and about million other things I saw in the photos.
Sorry, but I don't get it - it's just full of random stuff & looks messy, not "fresh" or "full of charm". I'm all for cozy & lived in, but this just seems like a flea market exploded in there. I'll admit the tutus are an interesting idea, but those are about $80 each so I doubt anyone else is going to spend that kind of money collecting them. Just my opinions, but also not a fan of having a big tv in a baby's room either.
lovely! i love the mish mash of colours and bits. A very homely home! :)
What a fun filled home for a child to grow up in! So much encouragement for creative play and learning. It looks like a little one could happily make a bit of a mess here and not be constantly frowned upon.
The TV in the baby's room is a sticking point though. I wasn't going to say anything but my motherly instincts are difficult to ignore.
The pull of the idiot box is hard enough for an adult to resist at times; all the harder for a wee one. Being front and centre in the room could make it the focus of her day, especially as she gets older.
Nothing like too much telly to totally sap a child's creative spirit. Remember what the oompaloompas say:
"What do you get from a lot of TV?
A pain in the neck and an I.Q. of three."
Might be stepping on toes here but just speaking from experience with our own three kids. We have pulled the plug all together and the rewards have been huge.
But each to their own. I understand that many people can't get enough and just love their telly! :0)
