The Serene Audiophile

The Serene Audiophile

Just because you're an audio geek doesn't mean you can't pull off a cozy little corner where everyone can sit and enjoy the music. Using a simple palette, a minimalistic approach, and the best audio equipment money can buy, a fantastic little space can be created that eloquently merges both comfort and technology.

Update: Typo fixed! Thanks erinsaurus and JamesG!

The new armchairs make the perfect seating area for an evening of listening while the wall-mounted HDTV provides visual entertainment upon request. Stores of records are organized in a crate off to the side of the sofa, allowing easy access without cluttering up the space.

Meanwhile, carpets (we think that one is from IKEA) and wall treatments allow for acoustic bliss while contributing to the comfort of the space. The italic scripture on the walls is an added bonus.

We'd also note the mesh-wrapped snake bundle of wires running behind the speakers and audio setup, which cleans up the wire mess quite a bit, but also doubles as "flexing" the audiophile muscle (many audiophile equipment keeps with this trend of mesh-wrapped cables). As for the speakers, well... they're big. But not unreasonably big - that's a good thing, right?

Have an audiophile setup that balances style and technological might? Tag them "unplggd" or add them to our Flickr group and we'll check them out!
