The Skål Redefines the Remote Control

The Skål Redefines the Remote Control

The Skål is a new way of thinking about home media control. Instead of the standard remote control to turn on specific devices, the Skål has users place corresponding objects in a wooden bowl to call up desired media tasks (i.e. turn on DVD player, bring up Flickr, surf the internet). It's all done with hidden radio frequency identification tags inside any of the corresponding objects that work with the wireless sensor inside the wooden bowl. Watch in action below!

The Skål doesn't appear to be just a one time concept, as they're accepting preorders, so time to raid your kid's toy chest.
