An even more unusual twist on the Slanket and Snuggie — "The Sleeved Blanket" by Andrea Ayala Close keeps your arms (and fingers!) warm while reading in bed. Would you want this at home?

No way!!! As if the others weren't bad enough. You know what this reminds me of, though? The snead in The Lorax.
Or is it thneed?
lol
i can just imagine waking up in the middle of the night with one of those arms next to my face. i would freak out.
livc, you need a Thneed!
Also, I like to read in bed. On my side. This thing is creepy AND does me no good.
Just thinking how hilarious a made bed would be with this...arms dangling out from beneath the shams. Could be fun. And also very, very creepy.
It reminds me of a biohazard suit!
LOVE this. I love to read in bed, but my arms and hands always freeze because we turn the heat down to 55F when we hit the sack.
I don't think I would ever want it myself, but I have on occasion found my arms getting chilly while reading in bed. I think wearing a long-sleeved shirt might be a better option, though.
I just do not understand why putting on extra clothing is such a difficult concept that people feel the need to invent these sorts of things (and in repulsive patterns no less...like the leopard printed Snuggie, ewww! or toy dog sizes...).
Opera gloves, dahlings. So much classier.
absolutely no..
This is on of those things that is better conceptually than in reality.
Um I would buy it. So would my BF. We love reading in bed.
This is cool concept, but I'd worry about waking up in the middle of the night, dreaming that I was sleeping with a killer octopus.
Maybe these cold readers could wear a sweatshirt and fingerless gloves in bed if they are really that arctic.
Here's the thing: this is RIDICULOUS.
Kinda gives me the creeps.
As an art installation, maybe. IRL: No....just no.
reminds meof the bunny suit in "A Christmas Story" lmao
Mmm, I want one! I am certainly not going to sleep in a sweatshirt (though opera gloves are tempting!). This would allow me to stop the ridiculous poses meant to let only the very ends of my fingers out of the blanket while still getting light on the book...
i like my snuggie. i wear it when i study because i can read and write with it on.
i have never felt the need for it to have fingers though...
WOW! Not a night goes by without me dreaming of such a thing!!!!! I want one!!! I read in bed each and single night and it always get chilly for the emerged body parts. I keep the temperature low in my room, even in winter. So I do put on extra clothing but I take it off when I go to sleep and re-emerse myself under the covers. And I hate to have to lift myself up, take the clothes off and sink back into bed. THIS is the answer to ALL my problems!!! ;)
I hope this is meant ironically.
As a statement about society perhaps. "Our chronic consumerism that drives us to satisfy the smallest of discomforts until we are passively, perfectly, existing and there is no longer any difficulty or struggle in our lives."
Or maybe I'm just hoping that's what this is because it's so effing ridiculous.
I want one! I get so cold when reading before bed, this may be a solution.
No thanks...
eh... looks like something Lady Gaga might want... but my brain is screaming "nooo!!!"
hahaha, it even has a fingertip removed for easy page turning!!
I laugh, but I would so use this if I had it. I would keep it under my regular comforter so no one would know.
Reminds me of Woody Allen's movie "Sleeper".
Is this what couples do when they finish a session in the Orgasmatron?
