This is great. Since we last featured Pete for his beautiful storage cabinet design, he's been hard at work dreaming up new cool stuff...

What you see above is his Slot Car Wall Sculpture which features an old slot car set:
Old HO Slot Cars and Track are easily found online. This set up [about half of the track I got] cost me around $100. Track layouts are practically infinite.
Check out Pete's site and all the pics here. (Thanks, Pete!)

Anyone know where the white stool (with laptop) is from?
LOVE IT! so fun and cool and quirky and visually-satisfying.
Better than much modern art out there.
I love how it is the symbol for infinity (hope and promise) and yet the cars just race endlessly (futility) since there is no finish line.
Surprisingly thought provoking from such a humble source. Very very cool.
Very cool, I actually built a cabinet based on his design. Just the 8 or the infinity symbol by itself make a great graphic element. Then you have the happy little surprise of the cars and it being a track. Nice work
Very cool...but the cars are in the same slot!
I must just not be cultured enough to appreciate this....
yes, I could have just kept that to myself...but I feel that it needed to be said.
My childhood! On a wall! Brilliant!
brilliant!
AlmostAD I just noticed that too-- those things are totally going to crash, and it'll be awesome.
I love it. Let me start digging through my brother's Hot Wheel stash!!!
Pete, I think I will do this on one of my walls. Conceptually brilliant! Thanks so much for sharing the idea.
What a great idea! Love it! By the way...I love that pendant lamp! Where did you get that?
Stool is vintage / one of two via eBay
Lamp is from Sunami Flatlights:

The cars ARE MISTAKENLY on the same track, the lesson:
> Don't rush the photo shoot
Thanks.
Thanks for the info Pete! I'm definitely going to look into getting one!
I have to say that as a car guy and someone who loves good design, this is frickin' awesome!
I wonder if I can convince me wife one of our blank walls deserves this treatment :)
Hmmm... I have an old Train Set sitting in a box in my garage gathering dust. Maybe I can display it like this.
