With alternative energy technology becoming more viable, we're excited about some of the concepts on the horizon. Sheila Kennedy's Soft House is designed to generate close to 16,000 watt-hours of electricity with a flexible array of semi-transparent organic photovoltaic curtains....

We probably won't see a consumer offering of this concept in the near future due to cost constrains, but the premise is likely to see light of day as solar tech drops in cost, becomes more efficient, and more prevalent in the construction of both commercial and residential homes. Now if we could only find solar options for renters such as ourselves.
