• Cure Clock: Nothin' left! You did it!
• Assignment: Complete the graduation form below so we can see what you've done!
All good things must come to an end. (Well, in this case most of the good is actually at the end!) Welcome to Graduation week. If you signed up for the Cure 8 weeks ago, please complete the graduation form and show us your 'After' photo! We'll only be pulling pictures from those that have officially "graduated," so it's really important that you take this final step! Also, by completing the form and officially graduating, you'll be eligible to win one a copy of our new book, Apartment Therapy's Big Book of Small, Cool Spaces, so don't miss out!

Looks great, but the placemats are so wrinkled. Either iron them, or roll them up right out of the dryer to keep them as wrinkle as possible.
Loading Flickr "After" right now-(new camera & haven't gotten used to it yet)
Finished in the nick of time. For my one-room-remedy: the Office, I rehauled the space as well as painting my entry stairs & redesigning the front parlor! I couldn't help myself. It was the focal wall installation in the office that I stalled on, as well as the final clean. At that point I really wanted someone else to take over. But now that I made a list of what got done, I am so excited!
All in all, I:
-painted wall & trim
-replaced pendant lamp
-de-cluttered the crap
-bought 2 rolling files for file organization & org'd papers
-bought a shredder
-found a new waste basket
-replaced ugly blinds with natural woven blinds
-installed a circular art piece as a ceiling medallion
-installed a focal wall (ships made of steer horn)
-hung picture art (2)
-redid our mail center (tea trunk with new vignette)
-painted closet & installed outlets for printer & lamp
-hired a carpenter to build custom shelving for closet
-consolidated office supplies/org
-bought a plant & candle holders for office
-final deep clean
What I didn't get to:
-task lighting (I want 2 $Tizio$ Lamps & wont settle)
-paint out screws from art installation
-secure ships with museum gel (hello SF!)
-better cord organization
-party. party in the office!!! (heh- nope)
I'd say I got to 95% and I'm thrilled with the _total transformation_ & proud of myself (and my huzbin for helping). What a fascinating process. I REALLY enjoyed watching others' progress, as well. Great Job!
I knew that flat had to be in Finland!! I love Finnish places.
@lisa_oak: http://www.re-nest.com/re-nest/at-home-cure/the-spring-cure-graduation-week-9-intro-116518 Maybe you'd like to read the first comment of this thread? The material of those mats is also such that almost no matter how much you iron them they stay wrinkled. Thanks for pointing it out though, I really need to do something about the situation, because we can't have wrinkled stuff around the house now, can we :P Oh and I don't have a dryer either, because that one isn't too green, now is it :)
Is there a start date set for a fall home cure?
I used an "after" picture of my guest room, but should I have done the one of the living room that was the same view as my "before" picture? Duh! I was in a hurry to get the form filled out while I had a moment and before I forgot.
And honestly, the living room is still not done. It's clean, unpacked and clutter-free, but we still haven't hung pictures or added color or rugs or curtains (or, or, or!), so it didn't seem like a real "after" to me.
I am looking forward to doing the fall Cure. I hope by then I'll be at a place where I can really tackle each thing in order and work on improving what I already got done during this Cure.
