It's all too easy to experience déjà vu in the category of portable wireless audio, with most speakers looking forgettably similar. So it's good to see a more striking design with a sense of weight and permanence like the Stellé Audio Pillar, exhibiting a "less is more" ethos. The minimalist tubular design reminds me a bit of the base of a Dyson Air Multiplier extruded further, but instead of pushing air, the Pillar emanates loudly with Bluetooth-connected 2.1 audio from up to 50 ft away, and for up to 15 hours between charging. Even while the Pillar is turned off, its presence should add, instead of detract, to any room.
