Actually it's the last part because the bench is done. Once we nailed down the design it only took a few weeks to complete, it's sitting in our landing strip and we love it!
The wood Aaron used was a combination of salvaged bard wood flooring and formaldehyde-free plywood. The base was stained a dark brown-black color and the top was left natural with a type of milk white finish.
The quality and craftsmanship is fantastic. We love how the strips of wood wrap around the corner of the bench, kind of like a waterfall effect. We struggled with having the base such a dark stain, but Aaron knew what he was doing and it resulted in a really cool skyline look on each end.
The process of working with Aaron of Green Sawn was so fun we almost wish we needed another piece of furniture. Aaron quickly came up with not only one design, but three that we loved. We're so happy with the one that was chosen – it's modern and simple and we love that it has a story.
