Received as a birthday present from her mum, Artemis painted the shed white and hooked up power to it to create her creative space. Decorating it practically and beautifully with sewing materials and equipment, this adorable 4 x 6ft shed is no doubt an inspiring and special space to work in. See more photos of this sewing shed on Artemis Russell's blog Tales of a Junkaholic.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Very clever idea. Depending on where you live, an upgrade to a shed that has a little air conditioner or heater might be nice.
i have a dedicated sewing space here in my little house, but i am envious!
This is darling, but where on earth does she do her cutting?
Speck, she probably cuts stuff up wherever she stores all her fabric, because it's not in there! ;D
It's a simply adorable space.
How cute!
Artemis has weaving gear in the shed too - ooooh envy! I'm assuming she cuts elsewhere too (or doesn't have the huge stash of fabrics most of us accumulate!)
Dear little work space.
thank you for all your lovely comments!
the first thing i put in the shed was a heater/fan, its the uk!
our flat was too small to have my sewimg machine in there so i had to work in the garden! i keep most of my materials in there too, folded up on the shelves, they are mostly thin cottons so not too bulky. i do my cutting wherever i can find a space! i have adapted to working in there because i had to, but now i love it and always want to be in my shed!
you can read all about the things i make in there on my blog 'tales of a junkaholic' X

I am just in love with this sweet little shed! What a lovely and clever idea, and it is a very inspirational spot.
beautiful space. & i love the neutral colors used here. inspiring! i have to pull my sewing machine out every time i want to work on a project - it'd be such a luxury to have a designated space all to myself to hide in & create...
so so so so so so so cute. i love it. (and i'd just set up some saw horses and plywood and do the cutting there in the yard!)
i too have a shed that i do all my art work in. i bought it for my home biz. tons of clay stuff. my hubby put up insulation and walls. we also had power put in. south texas, so hot i would cook myself in there. mine is 10x16 big and ugly. yours is soooo cute!
Where did your Mom get this shed??? We could really use one.
Oh holy crap. This is the BEST idea EVER. Oh I am like freaking out now. I neeeeeed to do this. A space all of my own to escape to to sew?! Like, um, heaven. I emailed this to hubby at work. My birthday is coming up soon so he may need reminding... ;)
Wow, Artemis, your shed is lovely! We're in a rental at the moment and there's a little empty shed out in our back garden that my partner hasn't claimed yet, lol...Can't paint it but you have definitely given me some ideas for making my own little creative space :D
Where did your mom get this shed?
