The Thompson Family's Sewing Room

The sewing room can be as frustrating of a space to organize as the home office. With a sewing machine as the key element, you have several challenges when designing your space -- finding the perfect stitching table, storing all those needles, pins, bobbins, thread, and fabric in a easy to navigate fashion, plus (and maybe most importantly) creating a space that inspires you to sew. We've seen a few inspiring craft spaces in the past, and this one is no exception.

Danielle Thompson, who blogs for Thompson Family-Life, made this creative space using a ton of vintage finds meshed with new ones.

She covered both the IKEA cabinets and the bottom drawer of her Target desk with vintage floral wallpaper. She also spray painted her spool rack, bought at Michael's, yellow. Liberty of London's new line for Target allowed her to play off the floral patterns of her vintage wallpaper with an equally botanicalicious basket and office chair.
