Design: Nook Coffee Table
Materials: Constructed from soft maple hardwoods and finished in a natural Tung Oil.
Price Point: $1,500

The Nook Coffee Table was designed for a consumer who has limited living space and is need of a multifunctional piece of furniture. I was inspired by the idea of a bookshelf crash landing into a coffee table creating a "4th leg." This juxtaposition of form and function provides consumers with the perfect balance of storage and table space.

This has been my studio space for the last couple of years. I spend countless hours here cranking on school projects and making deadlines happen!

This Ikea shelving system and lounge chair are literally 5 feet from my desk. I use this space as a nest for inspiration... and afternoon naps of course.

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Their contemporary designs are understatedly beautiful. I enjoy their soft color palette and the gentle surfacing of each their products. I love their design process of prototyping over and over until the design is absolutely perfect...and their portfolio speaks to this idea!

The Slow Sofa by Frederik Roijé. I am a minimalist at heart and I love this piece of furniture for its simple, clean lines. It has beautifully abstract qualities through its use of raw materials and modularity.
