In January, I attended
Maison et Objet in Paris and one of the trends I spotted was what I dubbed
"table twins" — a grouping of two tables of slightly varied heights, shown together, used as a cocktail/coffee table or as a side table or even by the bedside. Well, it was EVERYWHERE at Salone, too.
The examples shown above were from these booths:
1.Erba
2. Casamania
3. Caccaro
4. Moroso
5. Warm
6.Napol
7. Pianca
8. Zanotta
9. Viccarbe
10. Viccarbe (woah - quintuplets!)

Hmmm. I've always been a fan of the nesting tables because they can be stacked and put away and have the same elegant flair that this varied table height pairing does. I like that can store easily. Flexibility in design is key for me.

Perhaps it was difficult to see, through the cloud of bitterness, that none of these are examples of nested tables. *Sigh*
