Shaw's Original Fir...
Great selection!
Perhaps we could also get some suggestions for front-facing bookshelves?
(Preferably some that are not intended for children, and therefore knee high and painted in pastels or primary colors.)
I did find one that I love: the Moooi Oblique Bookshelf (http://www.switchmodern.com/Bookshelves/Moooi-Oblique-Bookshelf-Big.asp). However, it is about 6 times the price range I was hoping for.
Love the blue train case in first photo. In second photo from top with grey twin 'safe', I immediately recognized the green case for 45's (records that is).
I am fascinated by the photo of the man wearing a corset. Is the British consetiere? I read about him long time ago, he designs corsets and he wears one himself every day. I thought his name was Pearlman or something similar pearl-related but google comes up empty. Does anybody remember him?
I don't recognize the photo, but I'm curious as well because it doesn't look like the corset fits him at ALL. The shape looks all wrong for a male corset, then there's the weird bit sticking out under his arm.
This post is timely as after literally months and months of trying to figure out something to put my music player/CDs on today I settled on the Omar shelving system. BUT, I will customise it by spray painting it white and getting some wood cut to size and then distressing it to to make it look old/reclaimed and then sitting it on each shelf. The wood will warm up the whole look of the unit to make it more suitable for the living room as well as making the piece more individual.
The man in the photograph is Mark Pullin aka Mr. Pearl.
I've cleared most books out of my living room but would like to have a small storage for books and magazines. I would like something like the "Penguin Donkey" book and magazine rack. any ideas?
Anyone have any suggestions for bookshelves with doors? We are trying to minimize dust allergies around my house.
